The Filmbug team conducted their second workshop as part of phase 2 in the city of Jaipur. The workshop was held in collaboration with Rays Aasha ki ek Kiran, a wonderful organisation that works selflessly and with utmost dedication for Hiv positive children.Rays , is a home for children who are Hiv +ve and not accepted in regular orphanages. They offer food , clothing and shelter to these children.The founders Rashmi Kucchal and Capt.Gurinder Virk are like parents to these amazing children and take care of them with great personal detail.
The workshop was an extreme eye opener for the Filmbug team as these children were not just supremely talented but each had brilliant stories to tell and were very involved in the sessions right from the creation of ideas , to learning about lighting and camera and shooting their films.
The children came up with 2 very powerful films that they wrote and directed which will be showcased at the IASFF 2018. Both the films made addressed the topic of acceptance of their situation and brought to the forefront very powerful issues.
